Job Description

Looking for a Senior Data Engineer to sit remotely working PST hours for one of the largest utility companies based in Oakland, CA. The group consists of 6 product teams and 4 of the products are built and ran on Palantir foundry. The team is looking to expand their products and leverage Palantir foundry. It is critical that you have hands-on language experience with python, sql, pyspark and typescript (*experience with pyspark, python, sql, and typescript).

Required Skills & Experience

haves
- Strong programming skills in Pyspark, Python, Typescript, SQL, and Java/Scala (* Strong programming skills in Pyspark, Python, Java/Scala, Typescript, Java scripts, Shell scripting, and SQL)
- Preference to people who have already worked in Palantir foundry.
- Expertise in working with the Python, experience in working with data analytics related development.
- Strong problem-solving skills, quick learner
- Experience in the development of an AWS application such as EC2, S3, SAM
- Experience with at least one data engineering/ETL ecosystem such as Palantir Foundry, Spark, Informatica, SAP BODS, OBIEE
- Proven knowledge of software engineering principals such as unit testing, CI/CD, source control
- 8+ year experience in large-scale software development
- 5+ year experience in Big Data technologies

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

PSPS: The Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) platform provides decision support for Public Safety events execution by providing insight into the impact of an event, including impact on customers and PG&E assets/facilities. The solution also facilitates reports and data exchange to support PSPS processes, including customer notification, field observation, field inspection, external data sharing with emergency agencies.
