Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer to sit onsite at an automotive client in Newark, CA. You will be responsible for the development and deployment test systems to CMs and ODM’s, working closely with SW & HW engineering teams to collect and document test requirements, design, & build custom test set ups & fixtures for ECUs (Electronic Control Units). You will also perform functional analysis of ECUs to resolve manufacturing integration or software issues, create, execute and maintain Manufacturing Test plans, while providing test support during NPI and production builds on multiple systems for current or legacy test stations on different programs.

(This role can pay $50-57 based on years of experience).

Required Skills & Experience

-NI LabView and TestStand development expertise for High Volume Manufacturing Test is required
-One mainstream programming language proficiency, (C#/python are preferred, Java / C++ are equally valid.
-MINIMUM of 5+ years hands on Mfg. / Test development experience.
-Bachelor’s degree in STEM is required
-Electronics manufacturing experience is required,
-Experience with analysis, design, testing, and documentation of complex systems.
-Able to read and understand schematics, test point requirements and perform DFT.
-Experience in a Worldwide Operations team with CM/ODM’s in Asia or Mexico.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Certification is considered a plus.
-Engineering degree is preferred.
-Experience using Quality Management tools & processes will be considered a plus (PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, QRQC).
-Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus. (IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3 knowledge)
