Job Description

This role is responsible for producing clear, structured technical documentation supporting data center mechanical system designs. The individual will develop system design documents (SRDs), technical specifications, sequences of operations, and test plans outlining how new products and systems are intended to be validated. They will support documentation efforts across the design lifecycle, including responding to RFIs and developing increasingly complex documentation as designs mature. The role partners closely with design engineers to capture intent, requirements, and testing methodologies in a consistent and repeatable format.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting mechanical design documentation
• Experience documenting designs for chiller plants, boiler plants, or large HVAC systems
• Experience writing technical specifications and system design documents
• Ability to translate engineering design intent into clear written artifacts
• Experience supporting large commercial or industrial projects

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience developing sequences of operations (SOO) or system readiness documentation
• Experience supporting RFIs and post‑design documentation efforts
• Background working with consulting engineering teams
• Familiarity with data center mechanical infrastructure
