Job Description

An Insight Global technology client is searching for a curious, research-directed Product Specialist to work as part of the Proposals & Demos team. You will join a team of product specialists who enable informed customer buying decisions by responding to customer requests for information, guiding field team discussions, and providing subject matter expertise across the business. As a Product Specialist, you will play a crucial role in formal and informal customer technical evaluation processes for the company solutions and Cloud services. Your work will demonstrate a firm understanding of both solution functionality and the associated business drivers, supported by product documentation, test environments, and a network of subject matter experts (SMEs).

Job Role and Responsibilities:

· Create compelling and accurate responses for customer RFPs, RFIs, and other formal product functionality assessments, as well as creative responses such as informal proposals
· Own the technical accuracy of these deliverables across all solutions, engaging SMEs as necessary to enhance responses and grow your own knowledge
· Work with a broad range of other teams such as solution engineering, product management, product marketing, cloud security, competitive intelligence, legal, and others
· Validate alignment of customer technical requirements with proposed solutions, and apply your knowledge and experience to advise sales and solution engineering where necessary
· Synthesize technical features and customer business information to create content that clearly ties customer business issues and use cases to solutions
· Demonstrate ongoing technical competency in solutions through hands-on use of the products, and a strong understanding of the associated documentation
· Keep up to date on product enhancements through scheduled and ad hoc trainings, release notes and documentation, Slack channels, TechZone blogs and guides, and internal networking
· Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on in-demand areas of knowledge related to particular technology, verticals, geographies, etc. and offer this expertise to peers
· Perform independent research on technical content, proactively seek opportunities for that content to add value to other teams/initiatives, and contribute new and revised material to the standard content library
Plan, execute and own your projects – including managing concurrent timelines
