Job Description
As a senior Mechanical Engineer within a Data Center Technology Systems team, you will serve as a technical leader influencing data center designs and equipment strategy. Your responsibilities include leading the design and optimization of custom cooling equipment and mechanical infrastructure for large-scale data centers, performing advanced thermal analyses using computational tools, and driving the integration of innovative technologies such as adiabatic cooling systems. You will collaborate with planning, operations, and construction teams to develop next-generation mechanical systems, guide new product development from concept through testing and deployment, and prepare technical documentation including statements of work, design specifications, and commissioning plans. This role demands strong leadership, technical depth, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to cross-functional teams to accelerate construction and enhance system performance.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years of professional experience, including 7+ years in mission-critical facility mechanical infrastructure systems
• Proven experience with design, commissioning, and construction of large-scale cooling/heating/power generation systems
• Expertise in custom mechanical equipment design, including server hall cooling components and adiabatic cooling systems
• Strong background in thermal analysis and data center cooling systems
• Proficiency in water and energy calculations
Hands-on experience with tools such as 6Sigma, AFT Fathom, Python, and spreadsheet applications
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Professional Engineering (PE) license
• Demonstrated experience applying advanced data center technologies
• Experience managing engineering teams
Proficiency with SQL, C++, and Pipe Stress Analysis
