Required Skills & Experience
• Generalist Focus: Security generalist with experience in application and cloud infrastructure security (not traditional IT security).
• Experience: Preferably 2–5 years at a SaaS product company, with hands-on engineering or security background.
o Example: Someone who has been “hands on keyboard” and can troubleshoot technical issues independently.
• Technical Skills:
o Coding: Strong Python skills required; TypeScript/JavaScript familiarity is a plus.
o Cloud: AWS experience preferred, but Azure or GCP acceptable if fundamentals are strong.
o Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with Terraform or similar tools.
o Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts in the context of cloud security.
o Security Standards: Awareness of CVE system, OWASP Top 10, and AI security risks.
o Learning Mindset: Willingness to learn new tools and concepts, use AI assistants, and adapt quickly.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Ideal: Junior engineer with 3 years’ experience at a SaaS company, strong Python skills, AWS/
Terraform familiarity, and a track record of taking ownership of security issues.
