Job Description
The Accessibility Specialist supports the development and maintenance of accessible, inclusive digital experiences across products and platforms. This role assists with accessibility reviews, testing, and documentation, and collaborates with design, engineering, and product teams to identify accessibility issues and support remediation efforts. The role focuses on applying established accessibility standards and best practices, supporting ongoing accessibility initiatives, and contributing to the integration of accessibility into day-to-day workflows

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in accessibility-focused roles such as Accessibility Specialist, UX Designer, or Front-End Developer with a strong focus on inclusive design.
- Deep knowledge of WCAG guidelines, ARIA practices, and assistive technologies like screen readers.
- Experience conducting manual and automated accessibility testing using tools such as Axe, Wave, or Lighthouse.
- Strong understanding of the WCAG 2.2 AA standards and other relevant guidelines Section 508, ADA and AODA standards is necessary.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA to diagnose and resolve accessibility barriers.
- Strong proficiency in assistive technologies like JAWS, NVDA and Voiceover along with the automated tools like Axe, Wave, Lighthouse and CCA etc.
- Prepare VPATs and ACRs for the products post accessibility assessment.
- Well experienced in defect logging and tracking process and hands-on experience in the Jira is a plus.
- Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma) and accessibility plug-ins.
Strong understanding of the relationship between accessibility and performance optimization
