Job Description

In this role, you will focus on the maintenance and ongoing updates of standardized process controls packages supporting large‑scale cooling plant and mechanical utility systems. This is not a traditional Building Management System (BMS/BAS) role; instead, the work centers on process controls, including monitoring and controlling temperature, pressure, flow, and sequencing across utility‑driven systems. Day to day, you will develop and maintain reusable controls artifacts such as sequences of operation, process flow logic, I/O lists, PLC code, HMI graphics, alarms, historian configurations, configuration files, and supporting documentation.
You will support software functional acceptance testing (sFAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT), with a strong emphasis on testing systems against defined design specifications, traceability, and validation—similar to approaches used in regulated industrial environments. This role supports centralized cooling plants and mechanical utility infrastructure, including modular platforms deployed across multiple regions. The position is product‑ and package‑focused, not site‑specific, and contributes to reusable programming standards, templates, and centralized controls repositories used across U.S. and international deployments.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of process controls or controls engineering experience
• Strong experience working with process‑driven systems (e.g., pumps, temperature, pressure, flow, and utility systems)
• Hands‑on experience programming and maintaining PLC code, preferably Allen‑Bradley / Rockwell
• Experience developing and maintaining sequences of operation (SOO), process logic, and I/O lists
• Experience with HMI development such as FactoryTalk View SE, Ignition, or equivalent platforms
• Experience configuring alarms, historian systems, and control system configuration files
• Experience supporting sFAT and SAT, including validation and testing against design specifications
• Experience working with standardized or productized controls packages rather than one‑off site builds

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• PlantPAx experience or familiarity with structured process automation frameworks
• Background in regulated or process‑focused industries such as:
○ Life sciences / pharmaceuticals
○ Food & beverage or brewing
○ Wastewater or water treatment
○ Mining or heavy industrial processing
• Experience in environments requiring traceability, documentation rigor, and design‑spec‑based testing
• Experience supporting cooling plants or mechanical utility systems
• Experience developing reusable control templates, libraries, or programming tools
• Familiarity with centralized controls repositories or shared code libraries
Data center experience (helpful, but not required if process controls background is strong)

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
