Job Description

Technical Skills & Responsibilities
1. Lab Hardware Support:
o Configure and modify hardware, including servers and components (CPU, memory, drives, adapters, NICs, etc.).
o Perform basic troubleshooting for server and switch hardware, including Cisco UCS and Nexus switches.
o Handle terminal server connectivity for new hardware using SSH and Telnet.
o Familiarity with Cisco UCS topology, including physical connectivity of servers, Fabric Interconnect, switches, external storage, and ToR (Top of Rack) for CIMC/BMC.
2. Operating Systems & Virtualization:
o Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and ESXi operating systems.
o Experience with hardware management tools (e.g., CIMC, UCSM, IMM) to configure DNS, NTP, and other settings.
o Knowledge of virtualization, networking, and storage.
3. Lab Infrastructure Setup & Maintenance:
o Ability to stand up bare-metal and hypervisor (HV) environments on rack and blade-mounted servers.
o Set up and maintain both physical and virtual lab infrastructure.
4. Inventory Management:
o Maintain lab inventory, including spare peripherals, rack inventory, and layout.
o Receive, track, and manage inbound shipments and packages for the lab, notifying relevant team members as necessary.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with engineering teams (hardware and software) to support lab testing and development efforts.
o Assist with troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues as needed.
