Job Description

A client is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team local to Melo Park, CA. The Project Engineer plans, organizes, manages and is responsible for all document control and distribution processes and systems for the Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) Department, including all construction project related documentation received from and sent to the contractor, architect, and internal staff from initial planning and early development of a project through its completion

What you will do
- Meets regularly with all the parties involved to stay abreast of and track the status of construction projects at all stages. Prepares meeting agendas as needed and records and distributes minutes summarizing matters discussed and actions approved.
- Scan, distribute, and file documents including (but not limited to) project designs, drawings, specifications, estimates, and correspondence to the appropriate archival repository.
- Verify and correct project-related documentation where needed. Ensures that document control and distribution systems, processes, and procedures are organized, accurate, clear, and complete.
- Maintains effective and on-going communications with construction and contractor management teams.
- Provides initial review of pay applications, change orders, and other incoming construction documents.
- Performs other project engineering and project management-related duties as well as incidental duties as needed or assigned.

*All though this role is not clinical you will be working within a health care facility so there is health screenings involved*

Pay Range for this role: $43.33 - $48.55

Required Skills & Experience

*Bachelors degree required*
- 3+ years of experience in the construction field specifically on highly technical MEP and tenant improvement full life cycle projects.
- Ability to work on 10+ projects at a given time within different phases
- Knowledge of RFI, PCO, submittal, and invoicing processes.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite business software applications.
- Ability to organize and complete project documentation.
- Ability to read drawings and schematics.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete work within deadlines ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at each step.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Primavera P6 for scheduling
- OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain
- Knowledge of OSHPD forms, applications, fees, permits, test, and inspection forms.
