Job Description

In this role, the Payroll Execution & Delivery Lead ensures disciplined, accountable management of all payroll escalations and operational initiatives by maintaining centralized tracking, assigning ownership, and monitoring progress across multiple workstreams. The position oversees escalation intake and routing, ensuring issues are clearly defined, prioritized, and resolved within expected timelines. It also tracks payroll initiatives and milestones, coordinating with cross‑functional partners to confirm deliverables are completed on schedule and aligned with operational goals. The lead proactively identifies risks and emerging issues, drives timely escalation to leadership, and ensures mitigation plans are in place. A key responsibility includes providing structured status reporting that offers visibility into progress, blockers, and decision needs. This role acts as the operational backbone for execution—ensuring that commitments are met, work is organized, and teams remain aligned and accountable.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of payroll or operations experience in a high‑volume or complex environment.

Understanding of payroll workflows within PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems.

Strong organizational and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.

Analytical and tracking capability to monitor progress, identify gaps, and ensure follow‑through.

Ability to influence without authority across cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear updates, articulate risks, and drive alignment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience managing escalations, workflow queues, or operational case management.

PeopleSoft or ERP experience supporting payroll, HRIS, or timekeeping functions.

Background in project or program coordination within operations or shared services.

Familiarity with milestone tracking tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms.

Experience supporting cross‑functional initiatives that require structured execution and stakeholder alignment.

Exposure to risk identification and mitigation practices in operational environments.
