Job Description
This role sits at the convergence of product management, BI, and analytics engineering. You'll
own dashboards end-to-end — scoping the business needs with stakeholders, collaborating on
the underlying data models, and building and shipping the final dashboard.
You'll bridge the gap between high-level data vision and tactical execution, turning complex
datasets into product capabilities that drive growth. You don't need to be a data engineer, but
you will own the end-to-end data product lifecycle — partnering closely with Data Engineering
and Design to ship data products that stakeholders find indispensable.
This is a foundational role on a brand-new team, giving you a rare opportunity to help define
how we build, measure, and trust data from the ground up. Strong dashboard-building instincts
and a sharp eye for the right metrics are core here — what you establish in your first year will
shape the team's standards.
Core Responsibilities:
• Break down stakeholder requests into clear requirements, translating them into KPIs and
dashboards — this will require learning the underlying product and business context
• Build new dashboards from scratch, and iterate on them as stakeholder needs evolve
and the data program matures
• Coordinate with developers on row-level security and embedding
• Identify data gaps and translate them into clear technical requirements for data
engineers
• Analyze data and dashboard usage to promote data-backed decision-making, both
internally and for our customers
• Understand data sources, data models, and data pipelines, and help uphold proper data
governance
• Query and explore underlying data and schemas directly, developing enough fluency to
validate or challenge findings independently
• Track project phases and milestones in JIRA, keeping stakeholders informed on where
each project stands
