Job Description

A distinguished University in Los Angeles is looking for a Sr. Salesforce Developer to join their ITS Experience and Engagement Products (EEP) team. This individual will partner with teams across the university to map business and technical workflows and needs during the development of Salesforce, specifically with EDA (Education Data Architecture) and Student Success Hub. They are also currently using Sales + Servicecloud, Marketing Cloud and Student Success Hub which is similar to Education Cloud. They will be responsible for configuration in apex code in Salesforce modules. They are joining a team of two developers and two business analysts so they work in tandem with development however they do need this candidate to have strong business requirement gathering and documentation skills. The breakdown of time is as follows: About 75% of their time will be spent working with stakeholders, the team and working on analysis and documentation while the other 25% of their time will be spent doing hands on development. This team is highly collaborative, so this individual will be encouraged to share their opinions and be participatory in decision making. This position can be fully remote but they will need this person to regularly work PST hours.

Required Skills & Experience

-7+ years of development exp (3 of which in Salesforce)
-Knowledge of SQL/SOQL, Apex, Lighting components, custom objects, workflows, triggers, and Salesforce APIs
-Marketing cloud experience with automations, data extensions, and Journey's - Marketing Cloud Connect
-Experience with enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation, and load (ETL) tools such as Talend (not doing development but looking at console logs and understanding if jobs ran or not and what the nature of the issue would be - only Talend management console experience is required)
-Strong business requirement collection/documentation experience and skilled with writing user stories and acceptance criteria
-gearset experience pipelines - everything deployed in the dev sandbox, all unit testing is automated

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-JavaScript proficiency
-BS or BA is a plus
-Experience with the business requirements and the lifecycle of a Higher Education institution, including student affairs, university advancement, and enrollment management
-Experience developing solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM
-Salesforce Developer and Administration Certifications
