An employer in Southern California is looking to hire a Sr. Project Engineer. This Engineer will be partnering with another PE to support a major hydrogen project. This poc will be the client representative directing the awarded engineering firm that will be doing the 'front end engineering' phase of the project. This P.E. is the main point of contact for engineers on the project and is responsible for the quality and timeliness of all engineering deliverables. The Project Engineer will help set up and conduct Bluebeam reviews of design packages at the 30%, 60%, 90%. This person will also manage the IFC stages and the technical activities in the project schedule. The P.E. will conduct regular status meetings with engineering firms and internal staff. The P.E. will also review and approve invoices from the firms and will review and manage RFIs and Change Orders. This will be a mostly remote opportunity but will require onsite days for the first few weeks and then occasional important meetings.
This position is paying between 70-85/hr

- 10+ years of experience in a Project Engineering related role
- Experience working within Utilities, Pipeline Organizations, or a Refinery
- Recent Hydrogen experience (Materials applicability, Welding technology (Mechanical), Compressor seals (how the materials relate with hydrogen)
- Pipeline Experience and working with EPC firms
- MS Office Suite experience (SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Outlook)
-- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Chemical)
