Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Health Plan Auditor to conduct financial audits within a managed healthcare environment. This role involves evaluating internal controls, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and analyzing financial data to identify trends, risks, and inefficiencies. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of managed care or insurance, strong auditing capabilities, and relevant certifications.

You will work cross-functionally with internal departments and external stakeholders, requiring strong communication and analytical skills. The position is best suited for a proactive professional who thrives in fast-paced, regulated environments.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in financial auditing

5+ years of experience in the managed care, healthcare, or insurance industry

2+ years of accounting experience

Must hold at least one of the following certifications:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills

Experience interfacing with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
