Job Description

A travel client based in Woodland hills is looking for two Cloud Platform Engineers to join their infrastructure and IT operations group. One person will be a Sr. Cloud Platform Engineer and one will be a Mid-Level Cloud Platform Engineer. The responsibilities are the same for both, however with the senior candidate the client expects them to have more leadership and need less handholding whereas the mid-level candidate will be given more hands on support and development/guidance. This role requires both operational depth and engineering initiative. They will manage and improve Azure infrastructure, act as a technical buffer between managed services (e.g., Accenture), and lead remediation and hardening efforts across the environment. This position demands strong generalist knowledge across Azure services with a focus on proactive problem-solving and infrastructure security. This role manages Azure policy enforcement, cloud backup engineering, logging standards, antivirus controls, and the full Azure resource lifecycle. It ensures compliance through tagging standards and acts as a Level 4 escalation point for cloud operations. The position oversees Defender for Cloud reporting, collaborates on vulnerability remediation, and implements security posture guidance. It also supports developers with Azure services, assists with cloud networking and asset tracking, and partners with a 3rd party vendor to ensure proper infrastructure execution.
