Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Night Shift Area Resident Manager (NS-ARM) with a strong background in aviation, airport terminal, or airside operations. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of construction and maintenance activities across the Central Terminal Area (CTA), including terminals, landside parking structures, and airside apron and gate areas.
The NS-ARM will oversee nightly operations, manage Area Shutdown Requests (ASRs), and serve as the primary liaison between contractors, airport operations, law enforcement, and safety teams. This position demands a proactive leader with deep knowledge of airport environments and a commitment to minimizing disruption to passengers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
• Lead and facilitate the Nightly Huddle (2330 hrs) and Morning Huddle (0630 hrs) with Airport Operations.
• Distribute daily bulletins and maps to ensure all stakeholders are informed of active ASRs and construction activities.
• Conduct thorough site checks across CTA, terminals, and AOA to verify:
• Personnel deployment
• ASR documentation and vehicle compliance
• Barricading and signage per approved ASRs
• Delivery coordination and safety compliance
Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure all vehicles and equipment in construction zones have valid ASRs or “No Cite / No Tow” documentation.
• Coordinate with LAWA Airport Police and Operations to remove unauthorized vehicles/equipment.
• Capture and label photos of nightly construction activities, including traffic flow, signage, and deployment.
• Produce and distribute a comprehensive Nightly Report with narrative and photographic documentation.
• Maintain records on CALMSHARE and internal drives, and share with designated stakeholders.
Stakeholder Coordination
• Collaborate with LAWA PM staff, TDG Safety & Inspections, Airport Police, TSA, FMUG, IMTG, and other airport entities.
• Ensure public area construction meets safety and signage standards; escalate deficiencies as needed.
• Develop and refine shutdown protocols to minimize operational disruptions.

Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 10 years of construction management experience,
• 3+ years in airport environments
• Proven leadership in high-pressure, complex operational settings.
• Strong understanding of design and construction intent in aviation projects.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical issues for non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
Familiarity with airport operations protocols and safety standards.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Relevant certifications such as AAAE, LEED, PMP, PE, or other professional licensure.
