Job Description
A distinguished University in Los Angeles is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join the engineering/development team within Enterprise Applications. We are seeking a versatile Full Stack Developer/Programmer Analyst to support and enhance our enterprise applications and infrastructure. This role combines application development, database administration, and system support responsibilities to serve our administrative offices. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across multiple technology stacks and platforms while providing technical expertise and solutions to business challenges. There are several outdated programs written in PhP that they will need to analyze and see what can be rewritten or revised. Up to 70% of their time may be meeting with stakeholders and analyzing systems versus 30% focused on development.
Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using PHP and C#
· Design, implement, and optimize Oracle and MS SQL Server databases
· Administer and maintain Oracle and MS SQL Server database environments
· Perform database performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security management
· Manage and support applications running in Windows Server and Linux environments
· Provide technical support to administrative offices and end users
· Troubleshoot application issues, database problems, and server-related incidents
· Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise systems
· Document technical processes, system configurations, and application functionality
· Participate in system upgrades, patches, and infrastructure improvements
· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions

Required Skills & Experience
· Strong programming experience in PHP (need beginner-intermediate proficiency) and C# (need intermediate to advanced proficiency)
· Proficiency with Oracle and MS SQL Server databases including:
o Database design and data modeling
o SQL query optimization and performance tuning
o Database administration (user management, security, backups, recovery)
o Stored procedures, triggers, and functions
· Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux systems
· Strong communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users
· Basic knowledge of AI prompting
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Experience with Sunapsis software solutions
· Familiarity with Ellucian software products (Banner, Degree Works, Advance, etc.)
· Knowledge of web development frameworks (ASP.NET, Blazor, etc.)
· Experience with version control systems (Git)
· Experience in a higher education or academic institution environment
· Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services
· AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solution Architect
· Extensive experience in using AI prompting and AI agents to develop solutions
· Experience with shell scripting (Bash) for Linux environments
