Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Accounting Manager for a leading provider of complex composites, assemblies and tooling in the aerospace industry. As the Accounting Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing key financial operations, including treasury management, general ledger close, financial reporting, and internal controls compliance. The position also involves technical accounting research, team management, and driving process improvements across systems and workflows. This position is located in Los Alamitos, working a hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities include:
Treasury Management: Oversee daily liquidity reporting, cash forecasting, bank reconciliations, and payment coordination.
General Ledger Close: Lead month/quarter/year-end close, review journal entries and reconciliations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements in line with U.S. GAAP and support internal/external reporting.
Internal Controls: Ensure compliance, document and test controls, and support remediation efforts.
Technical Accounting: Research and apply accounting standards and policies.
Team Management: Supervise Accounts Receivable and collaborate with Accounts Payable.
Process & Systems Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements; work with IT on system upgrades.
Analysis & Projects: Support audits, perform ad-hoc analysis, and contribute to special projects.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience (3 is minimum)
3+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
3+ years of experience in payroll and tax reporting
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel skills
Exposure to inventory accounting using absorption costing
Exposure to ASC 606
