Job Description

As a Wiring Technician, you will be on the floor of our Long Beach Switchboard facility, playing a hands-on role in the manufacturing, winding, QC and final assembly of our switchboards. You'll be responsible for building, inspecting, and ensuring the quality of Gigas custom-built electrical enclosures. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in precision, and wants to be a key player in building products that power mission-critical infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience

Assemble switchboard enclosures and interiors using various hand and power tools
Perform torque checks on assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and standards
Inspect incoming components and units for shipping damage and recommend part replacements
Conduct final mechanical quality checks before switchboards leave the facility
Collaborate with other technicians and engineers on shop tasks and process improvements
Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to shop safety standards
Requirements

1+ years of experience in a hands-on assembly, mechanical, or electrical technician role in a manufacturing environment
Comfortable using hand and power tools (e.g., drills, torque wrenches, impact drivers)
Ability to follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, or assembly drawings
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Eligible to work in the United States
Bonus points

Experience with electrical panel or switchboard assembly
Familiarity with mechanical QC or inspection protocols
Prior work in an industrial, electrical, or switchgear manufacturing environment
OSHA 10 or other safety certifications
High volume UL 891, 67, or 508a shops
