Job Description
The Senior Electrical Integration Engineer will be responsible for the vehicle integration and
industrialization of the Low-Voltage Battery and Wireless Keyfob for Vehicle Access. This role is critical in
transitioning these components from the design phase into high-volume manufacturing, ensuring that
suppliers' production processes are capable, scalable, and meet Ford's stringent quality standards.
What you’ll be able to do:
• Industrialization: Lead the transition of components from design through high-volume
manufacturing, ensuring robust and scalable production processes including end-of-line
diagnostics, VIN programming, and commissioning routines.
• Lead Integration: Own the design and functional validation of the low-voltage battery and
keyfob, driving integration and testing across bench, labcar, and vehicle environments.
• Cross-Functional Development: Develop components in collaboration with cross-functional
teams—including Controls, Security, Software, Purchasing and Manufacturing—to achieve
objectives within budget and program timelines.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the single point of contact for electrical integration issues
across assigned components, providing rapid response and expertise to resolve critical concerns
impacting vehicle development.
• Software Collaboration: Partner with software and supplier teams to develop, integrate, and
validate application software, bootloaders, diagnostics content, and OTA-compatible update
workflows for assigned components.
• Launch Support: Support vehicle assembly lines during development phases, validate system
level changes, and drive issue resolution to ensure on-time delivery and smooth production
ramp-up.
• Quality Control: Develop and implement quality control measures, DVP&R strategies, and
testing protocols for assigned components.
• Testing & Debugging: Perform vehicle-level testing and debugging, including data analysis and
organizing cross-functional reviews across low-voltage battery and wireless vehicle access
domains.
• Requirements Allocation: Perform detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and
interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware, software, electrical, RF,
and network specifications with a focus on industrialization and manufacturability.
• Reporting: Report feature development progress and maturity at key program milestones.

Required Skills & Experience
• B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience working on complex low-voltage electrical systems or electronics design,
with a focus on low-voltage battery or wireless vehicle subsystems.
• 3+ years of experience in a mass-production setting launching new products, specifically
involving complex electronic modules.
• Strong fundamentals in low-voltage electrical systems, automotive network protocols (CAN, LIN,
Automotive Ethernet), and diagnostic standards (UDS, OBD).
• Proven debugging and diagnostic skills across electrical, software, and network domains.
• Experience with requirements management using industry-standard software platforms.
• Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience building and launching automotive products and vehicle prototyping.
• Experience with RF-based or wireless vehicle access systems and associated regulatory
certification (FCC, BLE, UWB, NFC, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with secure provisioning, credential loading, and cybersecurity requirements for
vehicle access or related electronic components.
• Experience with Failure Mode Avoidance methods such as DV&P, DFMEA, WCCA, and Hazard
Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA).
• Familiarity with OTA update workflows, bootloader management, and in-vehicle software
update processes.
• A systems-based approach to design and development with a drive for exceptional execution
and continuous improvement.
