Job Description
A large gas and oil company is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our Dispatching team in Long Beach, CA. The Dispatcher will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient coordination of field operations by handling incoming customer service calls, managing work orders, and dispatching service teams. This position requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Receive and respond to incoming customer service calls in a professional and timely manner.
• Create, update, and manage work orders in the dispatch system.
• Coordinate and dispatch field personnel to various job sites with urgency
• Monitor progress of work orders and update systems accordingly.
• Serve as a liaison between customers, field staff, and internal departments to ensure seamless communication and resolution of issues.
• Maintain accurate records of service requests, technician assignments, and job completions.
• Follow up on open work orders to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.
• Support other cross functional teams with additional administrative tasks as needed. High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant certifications a plus.

Required Skills & Experience
1-2 years of experience in dispatching or logistics.
• Strong experience providing customer service in difficult situations/conversations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with dispatch or work order software and Microsoft Office Suite.
HS Diploma
