Job Description

A semiconductor testing company is looking for a Jr. Electrical Engineer to sit onsite in Lake Forest, CA.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Mechanical Engineering (ME) team to interpret drawings and contribute to system-level design projects. This role involves managing up to three different projects with competing priorities, focusing on rack systems and their sub-components. Some duties include:

- Participating in a cross-functional team to develop creative, cost-competitive design solutions for new products at a system and sub-system level.
- Interfacing with the Manufacturing team to ensure that systems meet design requirements.
- Conducting electrical design, including power distribution and system control branches.
- Assisting in component sourcing and qualification for new designs.
- Ensuring that technical documentation is accurately generated in accordance with company processes. This includes schematics, wiring diagrams, electrical drawings, and bills of materials.
- Producing system test acceptance documentation.
- Supporting electrical testing activities as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Proficiency in electrical design (power distribution, system control).
- Ability to interpret and create technical documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.).
- Experience with system-level design, especially in rack systems.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Familiarity working with higher voltage and higher currents
- Familiarity with circuit breakers safety
- Experience working with electrical boxes for distribution - epanel
