Job Description

An employer in the insurance industry is hiring a Technical Product Manager to join their platform team in a fully remote role. This person will be responsible for owning and prioritizing the product backlog for a suite of internal platform products, with a focus on infrastructure, observability, and developer tooling. They will act as a bridge between software engineering and business stakeholders, ensuring that technical work aligns with broader product and enterprise goals. This person will partner with engineering, cloud, and security teams to understand technical dependencies and implications of infrastructure work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (especially Azure) and modern DevOps practices. This person will drive planning and roadmap development to support long-term platform reliability and scalability goals. They will also ensure visibility and traceability of work from backlog through to production deployment. The candidate should be comfortable navigating complex technical environments and translating business needs into actionable product roadmaps. This role requires excellent communication skills, a forward-looking mindset, and the ability to bring structure to a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment.

Required Skills & Experience

3–6+ years of experience in a technical product management role, supporting a platform team (Azure Cloud, DevOps, SRE, etc.)
Prior hands-on engineering experience (Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE, Platform Engineer), or must have deep technical fluency
Strong understanding of Azure Cloud (especially with concepts like Azure Landing Zones)
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. These stakeholders can range from the C-Suite, to individual contributors.
Must have excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Familiarity with GitHub (GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise)
Experience working with containerized applications and observability tools (Okta, DataDog)
