Job Description

The Asana PPM Implementation Lead will be responsible for driving the end‑to‑end deployment of Asana as the organization’s project and portfolio management platform. This role oversees the full implementation lifecycle—from requirements gathering through design, configuration, testing, rollout, and stabilization—to ensure the solution is delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to PMO needs.
In this role, you will partner closely with PMO leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define and document all PPM requirements, including intake processes, project and portfolio templates, workflow design, resource management needs, reporting and dashboard structures, and governance models. You will translate these requirements into a scalable Asana configuration, either by directly configuring the platform or by managing an external implementation partner. This includes building templates, custom fields, workflow automations, permission structures, and reporting views that support consistent and efficient project delivery.

You will develop and execute a comprehensive data migration plan to transition active projects, portfolios, and historical records from legacy tools and spreadsheets into Asana. Additionally, you will design and oversee integrations between Asana and other business systems—such as financial tracking, ticketing, or reporting tools—to ensure seamless data flow across the PMO ecosystem.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. Experience with data migration planning and execution (moving project/portfolio data from legacy tools into a new platform).
Experience developing training and adoption materials and driving change management for a new tool or process.
Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills: ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and make sound decisions.
Ability to build consensus and manage stakeholders in a matrix organization, including PMO leadership and executive sponsors.
