Remote - Business Analyst

• Produce and maintain system architecture overviews, data flow diagrams, and data lifecycle documentation.
• Create detailed documentation for ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, integrations, schedules, and dependencies.
• Document data models, including entities, attributes, relationships, and lineage.
• Develop user guides, technical reference manuals, and runbooks for operational support teams.
• Record business logic implemented in data transformation processes and analytics layers.
• Maintain knowledge repositories (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint) with well-organized technical artifacts.
• Conduct interviews and technical walkthroughs with engineers and architects to fill documentation gaps.
• Review existing documentation, identify inconsistencies or missing details, and update accordingly.
• Produce release notes, solution summaries, and change impact documentation for deployed enhancements.

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Writer, or Documentation Specialist in IT or Data & Analytics environments.
• Strong understanding of data concepts, including ETL processes, data models, APIs, integrations, and reporting architectures.
• Proven ability to create clear, structured technical documentation for complex systems.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Experience working alongside data engineers, architects, and development teams to interpret technical designs.
• Proficiency with documentation tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.
• Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail and information organization.
• Ability to analyze existing solutions and reverse-engineer processes to document technical logic.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Technical Communication, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
