• Analyzes, develops, and validates mechanical parts, cables, and machines
• Innovates through introducing new ideas and procedures.
• Possesses and applies a working knowledge of compliance requirements to designs. Including UL, CSA, and EN standards.
• Performs dimensional and tolerance analysis as needed.
• Benchmarks competitive solutions.
• Understands customer technical needs. Resolves customer complaints.
• Solves manufacturing issues (assembly, machining, etc.), quality issues (dimensional, material, and design discrepancies, etc.), and purchasing issues (vendor qualification, engineering support, etc.).
• Manages product line cost reduction initiatives and reliability improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience wihtinh mechanical engineering
Extensive experience with machining - design and use
Experience with micro machining
- extensive experience with GD&T,
• Experience in 3D modeling skills (Pro/E and/or SolidWorks ore equivalent) and 2D drafting skills (required).
• Advanced: SolidWorkd (or similar 3D CAD).
• Intermediate: Microsoft Office Tools
