Job Description

An employer in the insurance industry is looking for an experienced M&A Application Discovery Consultant to define and implement a structured process for application discovery during mergers and acquisitions. This role will focus on creating a repeatable framework for identifying, documenting, and transitioning applications used by acquired companies, ensuring smooth handoffs to relevant teams. The consultant will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to develop a comprehensive playbook for application M&A activities, leaving the organization with standardized outputs and processes that can be reused for future acquisitions. This will include performing application discovery across various systems such as CRM, AMS, communication tools, and other enterprise applications commonly used by insurance companies. The consultant will document findings in detail, outline clear steps for handoff to different teams, and establish a practical roadmap for integration. This role also involves creating repeatable documentation and processes, training internal resources on how to execute the playbook, and ensuring that all outputs are consistent and actionable. The consultant will act as a subject matter expert, guiding the team through best practices for application M&A work and delivering a structured approach that transforms ad-hoc efforts into a standardized methodology.
