Job Description

Our client is seeking a Leave of Absence (LOA) Specialist to support end‑to‑end administration of employee leave cases, including FMLA, state leaves, disability, military, and personal leaves. This individual will partner closely with employees, managers, HR, Payroll, and third‑party vendors to ensure compliance and a smooth leave experience.

Responsibilities:
Manage LOA cases from intake through return‑to‑work using a third‑party platform
Track leave timelines, documentation, and update employee status in Oracle
Coordinate payroll and benefits activities (Paid Parental Leave, STD waiting periods, PTO, state disability supplements)
Ensure compliance with FMLA, state leave laws, USERRA, HIPAA, and company policies
Respond to employee and manager LOA inquiries via inbox/ticketing system
Partner with HR, Employee Relations, Payroll, and vendors on escalations and complex cases
Resolve pay discrepancies and audit leave‑related terminations
Generate basic reports and support process improvements

Required Skills & Experience

3–5 years of Leave of Absence administration experience
Strong knowledge of FMLA, state leave laws, USERRA, and STD/LTD
Experience working with third‑party LOA vendors
High attention to detail and ability to manage high case volume
Strong communication and customer service skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Oracle or similar HRIS
Prior audit or compliance support experience
