Job Description

Our customer is seeking a Field Application Engineer to support their sales organization. The Field Application Engineer will support Transector and Polyphaser solutions. Candidates will possess extensive knowledge of surge protection (AC, DC, RF, & Data products) and a power background, a plus. The ideal candidate will have experience with technical sales support, working with engineers, product line managers, and program managers. The candidate must have experience working with various customer influencers to support the business development sales team in winning new business. All potential candidates must have strong networking skills, technical presentation experience, up-to-date knowledge of industry standards (UL, IEEE, IEC, etc.), and a proven track record of customer support.

General Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborate effectively with customers on new projects to understand their needs, to find the right solution, and support product innovation for surge protection (AC, DC, RF, & Data products), EMI/EMP, and AC power products.
• Bridge the technical gap between sales and the customer’s engineering groups/product line managers to communicate product needs to internal stakeholders from engineering, manufacturing, and product line managers.
• Support Sales in the acquisition of new customers and the ongoing needs of existing customers.
• Support regular customer engagement via video, phone, email, face-to-face, and live web chat
• Providing remote and on-site support ranging from installation to troubleshooting.
• Resolve customer issues, questions, and complaints professionally and collaboratively.
• Supporting a dynamic sales team in existing sales and new business opportunities to meet brand budget and exceed revenue goals.
• Support trade shows, be involved in key organizations/groups, and give customer-facing presentations on various topics to educate our customers.
• Provide quarterly updates on key market trends for products, OEM architecture, and competitor product releases.
o Identify customer and competitor trends and provide technical feedback to marketing and product groups.
• Support new product development process by gathering technical specs and business cases to create new product requests.
• Other duties as assigned.

This role pays between $100-120K Annually + annual bonus potential

Required Skills & Experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and business acumen, a customer-centric focus, and an urgency to meet strategic objectives.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of technical support experience on surge protection solutions (AC, DC, Data, and RF).
• Professional communication skills, written and spoken English, including correct usage of grammar and sentence structure, and appropriate professional messaging and tone
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• General computer skills, including a solid working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams, and PowerPoint
• Experience working in a fast-paced sales environment
• Experience with a CRM and ERP system is preferred
• Individuals may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly, and occasionally lift 0-40 pounds
Ability to Travel 30-50% of the time



Education and Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience
