Business Systems Analyst

Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, Power BI Developers, Reporting Developers, Analytics Engineers, Governance Engineers, and Data Engineering teams.
Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for dashboards, reports, KPIs, metrics, and analytics solutions.
Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements for Power BI, semantic models, reporting datasets, and analytics platforms.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops to define reporting requirements, business rules, metric definitions, and data governance standards.
Partner with reporting and analytics teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with enterprise reporting standards.
Document KPI definitions, report requirements, data lineage, business glossaries, and governance processes.
Support testing, validation, and user acceptance activities to ensure reporting solutions meet business expectations.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, self-service analytics adoption, and data-driven decision-making.
Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadership.
Provide documentation, training, and user enablement for new reporting and analytics capabilities.

• Experience as a Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst, or hybrid role in data‑centric environments.
• Strong understanding of Azure data services, including Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL.
• Familiarity with Delta Lake, distributed compute concepts, and modern ELT/ETL patterns.
• Experience analyzing and migrating workloads from Microsoft SQL Server.
• Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and system documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
