Job Description

Position Summary:
Insight Global is seeking a results-driven Automation Account Manager to lead sales and client relationship efforts within the commercial building automation sector. This role focuses on delivering intelligent building solutions that enhance energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and operational performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building automation systems (BAS), HVAC controls, and smart building technologies, along with a passion for client engagement and solution-based selling.
Key Responsibilities:
• Align with EMCOR Services Mesa Energy Systems’ sales philosophy, processes, and procedures specific to building automation and energy management solutions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and industrial sectors by engaging with decision-makers such as facility managers, property managers, engineers, and C-suite executives.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through site visits, networking events, industry conferences, social media outreach, and leveraging existing contacts.
• Manage and grow existing accounts by organizing client engagement activities such as technical presentations, account reviews, trade shows, and customer appreciation events.
• Develop customized proposals and estimates for building automation projects, incorporating technical and financial solutions using company-standard tools and pricing models.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, and service teams to ensure proposed solutions align with client goals and technical requirements.
• Deliver compelling presentations that communicate the value of automation solutions, including energy savings, system integration, and lifecycle benefits.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline using the company’s CRM platform and participate in regular forecasting and strategy sessions.
• Work collaboratively with the Director of Sales and cross-functional teams to refine sales strategies and improve processes.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and product training to continuously enhance your expertise in building automation systems.
• Achieve or exceed annual sales targets as outlined in your individual sales plan.
Perform additional duties as assigned by senior leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial HVAC services or a related industry
• Technical background, ideally in Facilities Management or Operations & Maintenance
○ HVAC/Building Automation Estimator, Project Manager, Operations
• Strong presentation, sales, and financial analysis skills, including cost modeling
• Ability to make independent decisions and manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
