Job Description

Given company global operations, the Program Management service must coordinate efforts across multiple time zones and international locations. This includes participating in weekly early-morning or late-evening online meetings to sync up with design teams, as well as undertaking one to two international trips annually, as needed, to collaborate with suppliers, engineers, and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Industrial Design Process Management - Take ownership of the industrial design development process and schedules, ensuring timely execution. Communicate project status to executive teams and coordinate design activities across cross-functional teams to maintain alignment.

Process Optimization & Team Support - Identify team and project needs related to process, tools, documentation, and asset management. Drive necessary improvements to ensure that design team members operate at peak efficiency.

Project Coordination & Execution - Collaborate with Industrial Design leadership to make key project decisions, including gathering requirements, scheduling, resource allocation, and approval processes. Define and manage project timelines and budgets from initiation to completion.

Design Standards & Review Process - Support the industrial design team in defining and communicating design standards. Facilitate design approvals and ensure that production samples meet established criteria.

Operational & Logistical Support - Assist the design team in logistics related to the design process, including model orders, travel arrangements, meeting planning, and design review documentation to ensure smooth project execution.

Cross-Functional Communication - Provide clear and structured updates to team leads and executive management on project status, resource requirements, challenges, and priorities. Ensure seamless coordination between design, engineering, and production teams.

Vendor & Financial Administration - Oversee vendor liaison responsibilities, managing budgets, Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Purchase Orders (POs), and vendor enrollment to streamline procurement and external collaborations.

Global Coordination - Sync with designers, engineers, and program managers across different time zones, participating in weekly early morning or late evening online meetings, 12 international trips annually.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years supporting programs across Industrial Design within Consumer Electronics
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration with internal design teams, cross-functional product development teams, and external suppliers.
Capable of clearly articulating project objectives, status updates, and key milestones to various stakeholders.
Multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
Expertise in planning, resourcing, process development, communication, and timeline management across projects, particularly within product and engineering initiatives.
Adept at balancing competing priorities while ensuring timely execution and delivery.
Able to partner with technology leads and consultants to create holistic designs that integrate technical constraints with creative vision.
Maintains an Agile mindset, supporting iterative development and pivoting intelligently in response to evolving project requirements.
Proactively streamlines communication on design project status and initiative progress, ensuring transparency across all stakeholder levels. Implements clear reporting structures to facilitate informed decision-making and maintain project momentum.
