Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Data Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable and efficient data solutions. You will collaborate with divisional teams, understand business requirements, and lead the development of robust data architecture. This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling, database management, and the ability to align data architecture with Product teams goals.

Responsibilities:
1. Will be responsible in leading the Migration Efforts from Redshift to Snowflake and IICS to DBT
2. Data Strategy: Develop and implement an overarching data strategy that aligns with business objectives and ensures data integrity, security, and availability.
3. Data Modeling: Design and implement scalable and efficient data models, considering both relational and non-relational databases, to meet business requirements.
4. Database Management: Oversee database management systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance with best practices.
5. Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, privacy, and compliance.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data scientists, and software developers, to understand data requirements and provide architectural guidance.
7. Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the data team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
8. Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data-related processes, optimizing queries and database performance.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience (15 years) as a Data Architect or in a similar role
Good Experience in implementing Snowflake and DBT (must to have)
In-depth knowledge of data modeling principles and methodologies
Experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (must to have)
Leadership experience in guiding data teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in the Insurance industry is a plus
Nice to have Master data management experience
Relevant certifications (e.g., Snowflake and DBT) are a plus.
