Field Services Network Manager

One of Insight Global’s customers is looking to onboard a Field Services Network Manager. This person will manage a team of six Network Engineers responsible for deploying and supporting network connectivity for construction job sites nationwide. They will oversee daily operations including ticket prioritization, assigning work, conducting standups, coordinating travel schedules, reviewing expenses, and ensuring projects stay on track. A large part of the role is understanding upcoming business needs and proactively planning network deployments before new sites come online. From a technical perspective, they'll oversee network equipment procurement, configuration, deployment, and validation at job sites, ensuring sites have secure and reliable connectivity before signoff. They'll work closely with architects, network operations, procurement teams, carriers, and project stakeholders to select the best internet solutions, coordinate installations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain inventory and documentation standards across all active locations. This is a remote role but frequent travel will be required to support deployments and maintain visibility into field operations.

7-10+ years of IT experience with a strong networking background in enterprise environments
Hands-on knowledge of Cisco networking technologies (Meraki highly preferred)
Understanding of LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, and overall network infrastructure
Experience evaluating and selecting internet solutions for remote sites (Fiber, Broadband, 5G, Starlink, etc.)
Experience managing network equipment deployment, inventory, procurement, and lifecycle management
Ability to create, maintain, and improve technical documentation, deployment playbooks, and standards
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to act as an escalation point for network-related issues
Experience leading, mentoring, or managing technical teams (ideal for someone moving from a Senior Network Engineer into management)
Self-starter with a strong attitude, adaptability, and ability to manage priorities with minimal oversight
Ability to travel frequently and support multiple active project sites across the country

Cisco Meraki experience (firewalls, switches, and access points)
CCNA certification
Experience with Juniper, Palo Alto, or other enterprise networking technologies
Construction industry or other highly distributed enterprise environments
Experience working directly with ISPs, cellular carriers, and satellite internet providers
