Job Description

The Powertrain Integration team are responsible for the integration and verification of powertrain systems at Supernal. This team brings together the energy storage, propulsion and thermal subsystems to verify system performance and functionality.
We are looking for a passionate, driven Senior Functional Test Engineer to contribute to System test process development and execution, and ultimately deliver functional, robust, compliant powertrain subsystems.

What youll do
Lead subsystem testing activities within the Powertrain Integration team
Develop formal test plans and procedures to assemble, instrument test articles, collect data, such that test results are repeatable and consistent.
Design test hardware (including mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams)
Support procurement and assembly of testing hardware
Create and execute test scripts using HIL simulators (e.g. dSPACE, Speedgoat)
Execute test plans with a high attention to detail.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and software issues during testing
Maintain test stations, configuration management, calibration log and upgrade them with the latest hardware and software versions
Analyze data and provide reports to Systems and Design engineers

PR: $60 - $65/hour

Required Skills & Experience

What youll bring
BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years Experience working in aerospace verification testing environments
Experience working in high voltage environments
Experience building test fixtures with instrumentation (e.g. current/voltage sensors, thermocouples) and data acquisition systems.
Good communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization.
Proactive mindset with an ability to drive projects with minimum supervision and be able to work effectively across multiple teams.

Preferred
Familiarity with high voltage Lithium-ion battery systems
Familiarity with battery pack cycle test equipment
