Job Description
Insight Global is hiring a Sourcing Manager focused on Robotics & Automation to support a leading technology client in Fremont, California, working 3 days per week onsite for an 8 month contract. This is a hands-on, execution-focused sourcing role working directly with engineering and product teams to source, negotiate, and fully draft contracts related to automation and robotics initiatives within data center and infrastructure environments. The role requires someone who can get deep into the details, own negotiations end to end, and build strong relationships with startups and emerging technology vendors.
Day to day, this person will lead sourcing efforts for automation and robotics projects, including solutions that automate labor‑intensive processes (such as rack logistics, robotics, or drone-based systems). They will fully draft and negotiate contracts involving IP, ownership, and licensing considerations, and may support strategic conversations around potential vendor investments or acquisitions. The role works closely with engineering stakeholders and must understand the technical side of the business in order to effectively negotiate and execute.

Required Skills & Experience
- 4–5 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, or commercial contracting
- Ability to fully draft and negotiate contracts independently (not just review or support)
- Experience working deep in the weeds on negotiations and execution
- Exposure to robotics, automation, or new product introduction (NPI) environments
- Strong understanding of the engineering side of the house and technical stakeholders
- Experience building and managing vendor relationships, including startups
- Comfort working on contracts involving IP, ownership, and complex terms
- Experience using Tableau for reporting or analysis
- Ability to work onsite in Fremont 3 days per week
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience working at a hyperscaler or robotics/automation company
- Background sourcing or consuming new and emerging technologies
- Exposure to automation projects (robotics, process automation, logistics, drones)
- Experience supporting strategic partnerships, investments, or acquisitions
- Familiarity with AI tools in sourcing, analysis, or decision support
- Prior experience in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments
