Job Description

Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
Join our Finance team as an AP Specialist where you will support invoicing and corporate collections, accounts payable, and special projects. You will report to our Accounting Manager and work collaboratively with a small team of 3-5 finance professionals. You will also work with our clients and internal departments both in person and virtually. This is an office-based role in our Folsom, CA headquarter location. Key Responsibilities:
Verify invoice accuracy against purchase orders, contracts, and receipts. Enter and upload invoices into NetSuite. Anticipate bills and follow up with vendors for missing/late invoices.
Set up new vendors with appropriate documentation and maintain vendor records within NetSuite.
Perform trade credit background checks for new vendors.
Post activity and reconcile monthly statements for bank deposits, loan accounts, and credit cards.
Monitor AP Aging, credit card transactions, and employee expense reports. Prepare and process payments via check requests, electronic payments, and credit cards.
Reconcile vendor statements, including check requests, electronic payments, and credit card payments.
Ensure compliance with purchase orders, travel, and business expense policies.
File and pay all commercial taxes as applicable.
Ownership of processing annual 1099s.
Monitor activity for potential fraudulent situations.
Communicate with vendors regarding invoice inquiries, payment status, and other issues.
Collaborate with the purchasing department on POs and vendor relations.
Ownership of credit card payments for various company purchases.
Create/maintain Standard Operating Procedures relating to Accounts Payable.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

Recent AP NetSuite experience within the last 2 years
Associates degree in accounting or business or relevant experience
3-5 years of experience working in accounting/financial operations
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excel proficiency
