Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a talented Sr Network Engineer to join a technology client here in the Bay Area. Were looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team and take ownership of our production network operations. This role is critical to maintaining ultra-high availability (99.999% uptime) while driving network scalability, performance enhancements, and rapid issue resolution.

This position requires occasional travel to our Sacramento data center to support infrastructure expansion, perform diagnostics, and implement essential network changes.

This role can pay between $50-$55/hour depending on years of experience and skillset.

Required Skills & Experience

-5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
-Advanced in BGP and Multicast, with expertise in configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting
-Deep understanding of VLANs, vPC, STP, QoS, and troubleshooting Layer 2/3 networks
-Hands-on experience with F5 and A10 for configuration, management, and troubleshooting
-Strong skills in configuring NAT, VPNs, ACLs, and security policy troubleshooting
-Basic experience with Linux
-Experience with IGP routing protocols

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-VXLAN-EVPN, IPsec, SNMP, DNS.
-Experience with automation (e.g., Python scripting).
-Familiarity with large-scale data center environments and cabling/rack build-outs.
