Construction Superintendent

The Superintendent leads day-to-day jobsite execution — owning field safety leadership, daily production, subcontractor coordination, and quality control on site. This role is the primary field-level owner of jobsite safety and daily operations, working alongside the Construction Manager (who owns budget, schedule, client communications, and commercial controls) to keep projects safe, on schedule, and accountable.

Safety Leadership
• Own and enforce the jobsite safety program on a daily basis; lead safety visibly in the field.
• Complete and maintain daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for solar panel installation, battery/energy storage systems, generator/microgrid work, and general site electrical and construction activities.
• Align with the Construction Manager on client-facing safety expectations.

Daily Field Operations & Site Logistics
• Direct daily field operations, including production, subcontractor management, and site conditions.
• Design and enforce site logistics and daily planning.
• Inform schedule durations and field logic for the Construction Manager's master schedule; own the field look-ahead plan.

Subcontractor Coordination & Quality Control
• Own subcontractor performance in the field, coordinating crews and subcontractors day to day.
• Execute installation quality control and verify quality before work is covered or accepted.
• Verify constructability and provide field input on RFIs/submittals.

Documentation & Coordination
• Maintain current, accurate field documentation (daily reports, safety forms, quality photos, inspection records, meeting notes, subcontractor coordination records) in the company folder structure using task-based folders and date-stamped filenames.
• Ensure field readiness for permits and inspections.
• Advise the Construction Manager on procurement logistics and constraints, and communicate field impacts of change events.
• Escalate issues affecting safety, quality, schedule, or accountability through the appropriate management channel.

Across the Project Lifecycle
• Preconstruction: assess constructability and plan site logistics.
• Execution: lead daily production, safety, and quality control.
• Commissioning: support testing and field readiness.
• Closeout: complete punchlist items and manage demobilization.

• Prior experience as a Superintendent or senior field lead on construction, electrical, solar, or energy infrastructure projects.
• Working knowledge of jobsite safety programs, JHAs/JSAs, and OSHA safety standards; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead crews and subcontractors, plan daily logistics, and manage competing field priorities.
• Strong documentation habits and comfort maintaining daily reports and field records.
• Ability to travel to and work on-site at active project locations, including outdoor and physically demanding conditions.
