Job Description

We are looking for a Business / Data Analyst to work for a leader in the utility industry. In this role you will be responsible for developing PBI dashboards and building that into a PowerPoint deck. Once the deck is created you will be responsible for presenting that information to the field leaders to ensure they are aware of the data insights and updates. You will also be printing the documents out each week and putting them across their headquarters location for adoption of lean methodologies.

Much of this information will be related to project deadlines, deliverables, cost and schedule. The leadership team is very inundated with meetings and need daily analytics and reporting support to help them grow and understand what is happening with vendors and projects. You will be expected to be a subject matter expert on the data and report that up into leadership. You will own a certain priority for the year and manage it from a program perspective.

Other Responsibilities will include:

Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decisions.

Power BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key metrics and performance indicators.

Data Modeling: Create and manage data models to ensure data accuracy and reliability in reports and dashboards.

Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across departments to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the performance of business processes and provide recommendations for improvement.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, methodologies, and processes.

Required Skills & Experience

- 4+ years of Business / Data Analytics experience
- Experience synthesizing reports in PBI and explaining it to leadership team (sharing insights on your analytics)
- Experience with PowerApps
- Experience writing DAX code
- Confidence being able to lead an initiative and major priority for leadership team
- Experience building dashboards in PBI and adjusting / fixing ones currently built
- Proactive and positive mindset. Ability to buy into culture of team and take on adhoc requests
- Confidence in being able to sit down with stakeholders and understand around the projects you are analyzing (be an advisor)
- Excellent oral and written communication

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Previous experience working for this company in this similar capacity
- Experience with SAP and Excel
