Job Description

One of our leading audio OTT platform clients is looking to hire multiple remote creative writers who are passionate about audio storytelling. This client has a large global presence in over 20 countries and offers a vast collection of long-form audio entertainment, including series, podcasts, and audiobooks.



As a creative writer, you will be responsible for crafting, analyzing, strategizing, and optimizing promotional content to boost audience engagement and drive business growth, driven by metrics and data. You will collaborate closely with growth, marketing, and creative teams to ensure that promotional materials resonate with target audiences and achieve desired marketing metrics.



Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation (Promo):

* Write engaging promos (both short and long form) for our new and existing content library to drive app installations.

* Utilize pop culture references and tropes to create compelling promos.

* Create short summaries and snippets from content on YouTube and other popular platforms.

* Develop scripts for video promos and trailers that effectively communicate the desired message.



Asset Optimization & Performance Tracking:

* Learn to interpret ad performance data to understand user behavior.

* Optimize scripts and create new variations based on data-driven insights.



Process Management:

* Report to the Creative Lead and communicate key updates and action items effectively within defined timelines.

* Maintain records of work according to process templates.

* Participate in the promo production testing phase, providing feedback on voice overs, sound design, and visuals.



Market Research:

* Conduct market research to understand audience preferences, trends, and competitor strategies.

* Stay updated with industry trends, emerging platforms, and creative techniques to enhance promotional content.

Required Skills & Experience

* Experience in roles such as copywriting, script writing, copy editing, or promo writing, especially in environments that require heavy experimentation and iteration. Ideal backgrounds include digital tabloid or entertainment/magazine copywriters, YouTube content creators, digital marketing agency copywriters, investigative journalism writers, and gaming writers.



* Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and make data-driven decisions.



* Strong understanding of creative processes and the ability to evaluate creative content.



* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate insights and recommendations.



* Deep understanding of market trends, audience behavior, and competitor activity.



* Ability to evaluate and interpret market performance data relevant to marketing projects and track creative content performance using tools like Facebook Ads Manager to make data-driven adjustments.
