Insight Global is seeking a Senior EMI/EMC Engineer to join a large defense technology client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, testing, and validating electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) solutions for electronic products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in EMI/EMC design and testing.
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI standards and regulations (e.g., MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464D, RTCA DOD-160, FCC, IEC, CISPR, SAE).
- Proven expertise in E3 design, analysis, testing and mitigation strategies. Specialized in HERO, HEMP, Lightning - Protection, ESD, RF exposure limits and operational electromagnetic compatibility.
- Proficiency in using EMI/EMC testing equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, antennas, LISN etc.)
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, CST Microwave Studio) for EMI analysis.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving EMI/EMC issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Full understanding of PCB Layout techniques to meet mechanical, electrical, EMI/EMC, and manufacturing requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and apply best practices appropriate for each design.
- Familiarity with standard interfaces such as MIPI, DP, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, etc.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, UAV, or automotive hardware programs
