Job Description

We’re looking for a Contract QA Engineer II to help test modern web apps and APIs. The right person will have solid hands-on experience with React UIs, REST API testing, and some exposure to test automation. This is a great fit for someone who can hit the ground running, plug into an Agile team, and help deliver high-quality software.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with Product Owners, Developers, and other QA team members to validate new features, catch bugs early, and improve overall test coverage. This position is in Costa Rica!

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
* Experience with Backend API tools like Postman and Soap UI
• Proven experience testing web applications built with React or similar JavaScript frameworks.
• Strong experience with API testing, including:
o REST API validation
o Authentication and authorization testing
o Request and response verification
o Error handling and negative testing
• Experience creating and executing test cases and test plans.
• Experience using defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
