Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a leading OEM client focused on advanced air vehicle and strike platform development. This engineer will support the Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineering team, contributing to the design, development, and integration of advanced hardware for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on mechanical engineering generalist who can operate across the full development lifecycle—from early concept and detailed design through integration and flight test—delivering high‑performance, resilient, and scalable mechanical systems for complex, contested environments.

Required Skills & Experience
3-5 years minimum experience
Generalist is what we are looking for, CAD and Drafting
Proficient with NX and Teamcenter
Experience with Simcenter, Ansys is beneficial
Experience with the application of GD&T and good drawing practices
5+ years of mechanical engineering experience Advanced Air Vehicles Programs
Experience integrating electrical and mechanical subsystems into advanced air vehicles
Experience designing mechanical parts (CAD). Understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, composite lamination, etc)
High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principles
BS or higher degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Industry Experience: Aerospace & Defense Background
Experience developing aircraft subsystem layouts, performing architectural trade studies, and evaluating vendor performance data
Competency in engineering analysis, including structural, thermal, and electrical
