Insight Global is looking for a Instrumentation and Control Engineer for an industry leading environmental engineering firm specializing in water and wastewater facilities. This individual will be responsible for designing and managing instrumentation and control systems for these facilities.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers and clients.
Develop scopes of work for I&C systems and projects.
Lead design teams for medium and large projects.
Design PLC SCADA networks and specify industrial fiber optic systems.
Create SCADA network block diagrams and select instrumentation.
Develop P&IDs, control strategies, and control panel layouts.
Prepare ISA data sheets, instrument sites, and input/output point lists.
Review submittals and prepare specifications for various components.
Estimate construction costs for I&C systems.
Conduct design workshops with clients.
Design radio telemetry SCADA systems using various technologies.
Mentor and train junior engineers.
Prepare technical reports and manage I&C projects.
Conduct quality reviews and develop project-specific specifications.
Balance competing project demands and manage teams effectively.
Participate in client contacts and business development.
Make decisions and simplify complex engineering concepts.
Monitor project scope, schedule, and budget.
Ensure compliance with technical standards.
Travel and make site visits as needed.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
6-12 years of experience in electrical power and control systems for water, wastewater, or petrochemical facilities.
Proficiency in designing P&IDs, control systems, and networks.
Professional Engineer registration.
Master's degree in relevant engineering fields.
