Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a CAD Design Engineer to support fast‑paced aircraft and missile programs, with the heaviest need on missile platforms experiencing rapid growth. This role sits within the Aerostructures organization and works closely with loads, analysis, and materials teams to deliver high‑quality structural designs in a highly dynamic environment.

This engineer will be responsible for detailed CAD design, drawing creation, and composite fiber modeling using NX and Teamcenter, supporting both new development and ongoing production programs. Candidates will operate similarly to a responsible engineer model (comparable to SpaceX), owning their work end‑to‑end and moving quickly from concept through release.

Responsibilities:

Specialize in Siemens NX, Capital & Teamcenter implementation and support.

Work side by side with the EWIS team to further expand and support the Siemens NX and Capital tools for harness design at Anduril and support the company mission.

Understand the EWIS design process and develop workflows and best practices for NX and Capital that promote adherence to the process.

Develop and enforce standards for CAD modeling and PLM data entry to ensure consistency. Maintain part and drawing templates for the EWIS organization.

Customize CAD software to fit specific organizational needs through scripting or programming.

Create and maintain libraries of standardized design elements and documentation templates in both Siemens NX and Capital.

Customize interfaces and functionalities to enhance user experience and efficiency.

Implement & maintain a reuse library in NX, creating and maintaining NX part families.

Develop detailed documentation for system configurations and procedures to support training and development.

Support the development and deployment of NX and Capital Tools, such as attribute mapping.

Manage EWIS Commercially Off the Shelf (COTS) hardware within TeamCenter.
