Telecom Purchasing Specialist
A client in the Corona, California area is looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join their team immediately for a permanent role. This person needs to have a good background within telecom and know what products and materials are used. If this candidate has experience with purchasing and managing inventory it is a plus but not required. The company is confident they can train those skills but the telecom background is a must have for the role. This role is 5 days a week on site with minimal travel to clients and vendors in the area as needed. Some of the day to day operations include:
Responsible for all purchasing and inventory functions
Perform administrative duties, including entering purchase orders, posting deliveries in system, scanning receipts, etc
Communicate and act as a lesion between vendors and departments to develop compromises and resolve contractual problems or complaints, organize, direct, and lead negotiating teams in evaluating and negotiating pricing.
Participate actively in meetings that assess vendor quality control, pricing, and availability.
Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or freight companies.
Work with Accounts Payable Team to resolve invoice & purchase order issues.
Interview vendors and visit suppliers plants and distribution centers to examine and learn about products, services, and prices.
Recognize challenges and develop and analyze sales history and forecasts to project future inventory needs.
The salary for this role is an hourly rate between $21-26+/hr based on experience.

2+ years of experience with telecom materials (DAS is the main need but OSP, microwave etc.
High School Diploma or above
Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
Proficient with Excel and Outlook
