Job Description
A client in the defense industry is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced mechanical and electro-mechanical systems used in high-consequence defense and aerospace applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge hardware, including precision mechanisms and complex electromechanical assemblies, while collaborating within a multidisciplinary engineering team throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced development environment, takes ownership of technical challenges, and is comfortable moving between conceptual design activities and laboratory-based hardware testing. This individual will be responsible for driving mechanical design efforts from concept through qualification, ensuring performance, reliability, manufacturability, and compliance with program requirements.

*familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards
*experience with materials testing, actuators, custom hear trains, electro-optical systems
