Job Description

The Operations Finance Manager functions as a business partner with Operation Leaders across manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, etc. to effectively manage and control manufacturing operations. They will be leading two individuals, primarily responsible for overseeing activities surrounding inventory management (cycle counts, physical counts, inventory reserves, etc.) and cost accounting (PIR, tracking and allocating costs associated with purchasing, storing, and managing inventory, etc,). They will also be responsible for overall financial management and coordination of operational results, assessing business trends, providing strategic support, and addressing root causes of operation issues.

Additional responsibilities include:
Prepare monthly reports, monthly forecasts, budget and annual operating plan and cycle counting and strategic planning.
Oversee annual manufacturing budgets and forecasts for short- and long-range operating objectives, organizational structure, and staffing requirements for manufacturing and engineering operating teams.
Analyze and accurately report current months financial results to the plant, sales, and regional management in accordance with required format and time requirements.
Manage the annual standard cost revaluation process. Perform audits to ensure product costs are accurate and accounted for properly.
Oversee reporting, planning and forecasting of Indirect Cost of Sales.
Oversee reporting, planning and financial analysis of Inventory & DSI.
Assures proper accounting, internal controls and account accuracy for all inventories within area of responsibility, working closely with the team to determine required entries and/or accruals.
Assist with monitoring of cycle counting activities and administration of required physical inventories. Assists with administration of periodic review of inventory for obsolescence, including identification of candidates, cross-functional review and disposition.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting required.
5+ years of professional of relevant finance experience (posting journal entries, analyzing past results, performing variance analysis, identifying trends, etc.).
2+ years of experience managing direct reports and product costing activities.
Strong inventory management and cost accounting experience.
Strong analytical and data gathering skills (Power BI, Excel).
Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
Previous manufacturing industry experience.
